Babe's blog

Babe the Bold and the Beautiful... (okay and cute) Jack Russell Terrier, has a couple of fears!!

Babe - the Fearless (almost) Jack Russel TerrierMost of you who know me, know that I am 11 pounds of energy, muscle with a fearless personality - a one of a kind Jack Russell Terrier. (see how hard I'm working on this blog in the picture???)

However, I don’t admit this to many, but I am terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms.

Wow – it's hot! What a great time to adopt a pet!

I don't know about where you are, but here in the Ohio, it's hot, hot hot!

Babe at the computerMe and mom love going for walks. Sometimes we're gone for almost 2 hours because we like to play and of course talk to the people and pets we meet along the way.

But this weekend, I've been at the computer a little more. It's a LOT cooler in the house.

Babe on the 4th of July

Happy 4th of July from Babe!

Mom and I were out walking the other night. We find the best stories during our walks.

Who was YOUR first pet?

Mom and I were hanging out on FaceBook the other day.

We like to do that since there are SOOOO many people there who love pets. What a great bunch of people to hang around with! I mean, if you're gonna spend time on the computer, you may as well be talking about the greatest bunch of animals on the face of the earth! Us pets (we love you guys:)

Happy Fathers Day to our great Dad's!!!!

Fathers Day MessageMom and I would love to wish all the Dads, a wonderful Father’s Day.

Little fur balls like me and some of my friends who are big fur balls (feathered ones too) are born to be a blessing to human fathers. In reality our human fathers are such a blessing to us. For those of us who have a father in our homes, it is such a wonderful comfort. So………here’s to the great Dads we have.

Babe, the eleven year old Jack Russell Terrier doing well!!!

Today I went to my doctor as a follow up from my little episode last week. I got so Babe in sequinsexcited, I gave them a stool sample as soon as I got in the door. Mom was embarrassed as I was not here for a stool sample. Oops!! I must admit that I showed off for the doctor to let him know I was doing well.

Reward Waiting in "The Case of the Missing Treat Barn"

Treat jar missingMom always participates in the annual garage sale in the subdivision where we live. She tries to clean out the excess and sell it to make room for more things…..for me of course. I usually know when it’s time for this sale, as she is going in and out of rooms looking for things to sell. She went into my room but she didn’t take anything…..at least I didn’t think she did.

Successful Visit to MedVet in Columbus Ohio

Mom and I were playing ball the other night and I started to feel some pain in my neck and back. I couldn’t tell my mom, so I stopped playing ball and then she knew something was wrong. I couldn’t move without the pain, so I sat there for a while. It hurt so badly, my tummy got very tight. Mom felt my tummy and she called our Dr. Shardy at the Suburban Animal Clinic here in Columbus. It was about 11:00 pm. The office was closed, so mom called MedVet which is an emergency medical and cancer center for pets. Mom told them I had abdominal pain and they were concerned about bloat.

Babe Feeding the Koi

Hi everyone!!! Mom just got the Koi pond cleaned and our fish are very happy. The Babe feeding fishtemperature is just right and we have started feeding them again. I went out this morning with Mom to help feed them. They had not seen me this year and they were a little concerned. No need to be….I don’t “do” pond water!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

A great story about Pet Adoption

Mom and I read a very touching story today and I wanted to share it with all of you.  I, of course, rescued my Mom.
